URBAN WASTE TREATMENT PLANT, MUNICIPAL DISTRICT – QUART DE POBLET FERVASA

In 1967, SAV was a promoter of the “Compañía Valenciana de Fertilizantes, S.A.” (FERVASA), which took over the management of the service for waste treatment in the city of Valencia, with an initial capacity for treating 400 tonnes of waste daily.

Subsequently, it was modernized and expanded its facilities up to a capacity of, on average, 800 tonnes daily waste treated, maintaining compost production and recovery of by-products.

NON-HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL PLANT “LA MATRONA”, MUNICIPAL DISTRICT OF DOS AGUAS

The waste disposal plant of “La Matrona” in Dos Aguas, whose owner is “SYF Tratamientos UTE” (constituting 65% as SAV), became operational in September 1998. It receives the exclusions from the Valencian metropolitan area waste treatment plant located in Quart de Poblet.

Following its expansion, landfill capacity now stands at 5,080,631 m3; with average annual inflows of 480,000 tonnes/year.

In April 2008, the body responsible for environmental matters was granted the Integrated Environmental Authorisation.

NON-HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL “INSTALLATION 2”, MUNICIPAL DISTRICT OF DOS AGUAS

SAV has a 65% joint venture in Dos Aguas, which is the contractor for project management “Installation 2”, including the Zonal Plan Waste Zones III and Management Area V2 located in the municipal district of Dos Aguas (Valencia).

The plant is designed for a service life of approximately 23 years and a landfill capacity of 5,618,259 m3, where it will receive exclusions from “Installation 1” of that Zonal Plan. In addition it has checking and weighing areas, mechanics warehouses and workshops, access roads, a leachate management system, infrastructure stormwater control, a degassing system and an environmental monitoring and management plan.

PLANT WASTE RECOVERY “INSTALLATION 3”, MUNICIPAL DISTRICT OF MANISES

SAV participates in a joint venture of 65% UTE SFS, responsible for the construction and operation of the waste recovery plant “Installation 3” included in Zonal Plan 3, management area 2 located in the municipal district of Manises (Valencia).

This plant is designed with a capacity of 350,000 tonnes/year of waste, and along with “Installation 1”, will take on the management of all waste generated in the metropolitan area of Valencia.
